Biography – Curt Hendrix

The Scientist and Developer Behind Akeso Products

Curt Hendrix, M.S., CCN, CSN, is a multi-disciplined scientist whose research and teachings focus on improving health, preventing disease and fighting the war on aging at the cellular level. His unique combination of education, training and experience in chemistry, medicine, nutrition, the supplement industry, NIH sponsored research and pharmaceutical drug development, generates a perspective leading to an intimate understanding of the working of the human body. His broad background allows him to connect seemingly unrelated theories in each of the disciplines in ways that experts in only one of the categories cannot. This ability to "connect the dots" gives him a unique ability to offer scope and breadth of information and implementation difficult to find anywhere else.

Curt spent 2 years in a physical chemistry PhD. program at the City University of New York and subsequently completed a Master's Degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport. He is also board certified both in clinical nutrition (C.C.N.) and as a nutrition specialist (C.N.S.) from the American Academy of Nutrition.

He is an authority on the formulation, chemistry, mechanisms and uses of natural medicines. He has spent the last 20 years researching and archiving the potential benefits, effects and mechanisms of literally thousands of naturally occurring compounds. Involved in many cutting edge research projects, he is also Chief Science Officer for a privately held, specialty pharmaceutical company, Concourse Health Sciences L.L.C. He is in charge of formulation and development of new drugs derived or based upon naturally occurring compounds. Current projects include pharmaceutical drug development for new and safer medicines in the area of cardiovascular disease, endometriosis, hepatic encephalopathy, infectious diarrhea and chronic migraines.

He has spent many years of his studies and research creating a "unifying" theory of aging and the chronic degenerative disease with which it is associated. The rationale and implementation of his anti-aging research will be available on his web-site.

He has been appointed principal scientific investigator of two NIH (Nat'l Instititutes of Health) sponsored grants to study the effects of a combination drug of naturally occurring compounds on the progression of Alzheimer's Disease.

Curt's efforts in developing "natural-based" medicines led to his creating disease specific monographs in areas such as: Migraine, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, Depression and others that were approved for continuing education credits for physician license renewal.

His extensive research, knowledge and expertise has also led to the creation of new technologies for which he has been granted U.S. and world-wide patents with many new patents pending.
